Most of us just want to be happy. We want loving relationships, a satisfying sex life, to be good parents & friends, to lead meaningful & productive lives. So why do so many of us struggle to achieve these goals?

Terri St. George is a psychotherapist & sex therapist with over 25 years of professional experience as a psychotherapist, sex & relationship specialist, health educator, and clinical supervisor working with individuals, couples, and families.

Although Terri’s services are in high demand, she is currently available for in-office & elehealth sessions in New York’s Capital District & throughout New York State.

Terri’s interest in becoming a psychotherapist is deeply rooted in her innate curiosity about the mysteries and nature of human beings, relationships, and life in general.

For example, where do our expectations, hopes and beliefs about what we want or deserve in our relationships come from? Why are we attracted to certain people and not others? Why do we often hurt the people we love most? Do we ask too much from our relationships? Are soulmates a thing? Are relationships meant to last forever? Can we love more than one person at a time? Why does it hurt so much when our partner isn’t there for us? Is it normal to have ambivalent feelings about the tasks of parenthood? Why are we all so hard on ourselves? Why does passion fade in long-term relationships? Why are people so awkward talking about death? Can affairs really make relationships stronger? Is it possible to heal childhood wounds and attachment injuries in our adult partnerships? Why do we sometimes stay in bad relationships? If sex is supposed to be "natural," how can it become such a source of stress? Is there something wrong with me if I don’t have much interest in sex? Is it settling if my marriage is just “okay?” Is it possible to rebuild trust after a betrayal? Why is it so difficult to talk to our partners about sex? What makes for a successful life? Why does life just feel so hard & scary at times?
